About Tomato Wheels.

Tomato Wheels designs wine. The first product they introduced to the market is a Lambrusco. After diving into the data and market research, they discovered a gap in the market for this product and have taken it upon themselves to introduce high quality, well made, traditional Lambrusco to mainstream consumers. 

Lambrusco is a sparkling red wine, designed to be sipped chilled. What makes Lambrusco special is the Salamino grape—native to one region in the world, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.



 

Moirae Choquette is an Indigenous entrepreneur, who has built her career in marketing and communications over the last 15 years. Whether she is working in the tech SaaS space, for a DTC e-commerce company, or launching her own brand, she is always looking to influence attitudes, change behaviours and ignite engagement. 

“I love Lambrusco, but the selection in Canada is limited, so we decided to produce our own. We worked with Sommelier Brad Royale to go directly to the source—Emilia Romagna, Italy. We found a fourth generation, family owned and operated vineyard, that has been producing Lambrusco since 1925 (if they don’t know what’s good, who does?). They agreed to produce Lambrusco exclusively for Tomato Wheels”—  says Founder, Moirae Choquette.

Our company’s mission is to use business as a force for doing good. 

  • We launched an annual coffee table calendar (meaning it's a beautiful piece of art as much as it is serves a function) called Nudes for Nood[le]s an inclusive project focused on celebrating body diversity with all proceeds going towards fighting food insecurity in our communities.
